What happens

Crop: what changes

Cropping keeps a rectangular region and discards pixels outside it. Add images, select a file, then draw on the single active preview or use synchronized numeric controls for exact work. For animated GIF, the same rectangle is applied to every frame.

Can I crop without a mouse?

Yes. Every crop boundary can be entered numerically, and the crop box supports Arrow or Shift+Arrow keyboard movement.

Does one crop rectangle apply to every image?

No. Every file keeps a crop in its own source pixels. Applying an aspect ratio to the batch centers that shape separately on each image.

Does a crop reduce file size?

Often, because it contains fewer pixels, but the encoder and image content also affect the final size.

Does an animated GIF stay animated after cropping?

Yes. The current rectangle is applied to every frame while the source frame order, delays and loop setting stay intact.
