How to remove a background
Use or move the suggested subject point for a guided cut, or choose Color edge when the backdrop is mostly even. Each Keep or Remove correction can be a brush stroke or rectangle, and every result must be reviewed before download.

Use or move the marked point when it sits clearly inside the main subject. If no clear point is found, choose one yourself or use Color edge for a mostly even backdrop.
- 2Create and compare
Run the current image and inspect the source beside the graded cutout over transparency or the intended solid background.

Paint or draw areas that must stay or leave, then inspect subject edges before downloading the finished PNG.

Why does some background remain?
Move the guided point clearly inside the main subject, or adjust Color edge and its tolerance gradually. Paint a Remove brush stroke for an irregular remnant or draw a rectangle for a bounded area.
Why can part of the subject disappear?
The guided outline can be uncertain, and Color edge can include subject pixels that resemble the backdrop. Move the point, lower tolerance, or restore it with a Keep brush stroke or rectangle.

Know the limits
- Complex scenes, fine hair, translucent objects, cast shadows and similar foreground colors may not separate cleanly.
- The transparent result is PNG, and smooth-looking preview edges still require inspection against the destination background.

How does the tool decide what to remove?
When the frame gives a clear clue, PixHandy suggests a point that you can move before it guides the graded mask. You can also choose a point yourself. Color edge follows similar backdrop colors connected to the border. Both accept local Keep or Remove brush strokes and rectangles.
Can I correct an imperfect cutout?
Yes. Choose Keep or Remove, then paint with the adjustable brush or draw a rectangle on the active source. The brush also has a keyboard cursor and dab action. Inspect the revised edge before export.
